InPrison Community Bible Study

InPrison CBS classes may be started in various ways: through churches, other ministries, the conversion of other Bible studies, or most commonly by individuals that hear the call of God to take the Word of God inside prison walls and fences.  The one essential element is that they be God-directed.

• Pray!  The first and foremost step in starting a new class is to determine God’s will.  If God wants a class, He will both help to open the doors to the institution and He will send the Holy Spirit to guide the class. 
• Contact InPrison CBS to learn more about InPrison CBS studies and format.  Begin the process of preparing yourself to present InPrison CBS to the administration of the institution.  
• After the Lord directs, and you understand the InPrison CBS program, approach the institution administration (chaplain, volunteer coordinator, program director, warden).  Request a meeting to present the InPrison CBS program.  At this point a timeslot of at least 1 ½ hours should be requested.
• If permission is granted by the institution there will be need for the Teaching Director and team to be trained by InPrison CBS.  We will come to you to present a short orientation.  Also be prepared to go through any training/orientation that the institution may require.
• Watch God and His Word transform the hearts and lives of men and women.
